The One Percent Foundation teaches you how to be a Philanthropist.

Many people in their 20s and 30s want to give, but don't know what organizations to give to.

The One Percent Foundation brings outstanding non-profit organizations to your attention, and then gives you pointers on things you might want to consider when deciding whether to give to them.  

We learn by doing.  Partners in the One Percent Foundation tell each other about outstanding non-profits.  Then we work together to evaluate the non-profits, rank them, and ultimately give a grant.

You can be as involved as you want to be.  In 2010, we'll give four grants of at least $8000. You can focus on learning about the recommended organizations and ranking them, or if you want to be more involved you can nominate and evaluate  organizations for consideration by the Partnership.  It's up to you!
